Xiaomi creates another record by selling 250,000 Redmi Note 4 devices in just 10 minutes

Last few months has seen a decline in the Mobile market due to the demonetization issue. According to IDC, smartphone sales within the leading 50 cities of India dropped by 30.5 percent month on month in November 2016 over October 2016, for instance. But the Chinese giant Xiaomi has again managed to do a miracle with their smartphone in Indian market. They cited to have sold a quarter of a million Redmi Note 4 devices in India just within a span of 10 minutes during the first sale itself.

Redmi Note 4

The Redmi Note 4 was launched in India last week itself and the smartphone went on sale on Monday itself via e-commerce giant Flipkart and Mi’s own website ‘mi.com’. The Redmi Note 4 is the successor to the Redmi Note 3, which was one of the best selling smartphones in India in 2016.

Mr. Ajay Yadav, HeadMobiles, Flipkart, said in a press statement

The phenomenal response we have seen with the Redmi Note 4, once again indicates the trust and value that our customers place on Flipkart, when it comes to shopping for their favorite mobile phones.

Compared to the previous iteration of the device, the Redmi Note 4 features a slightly improved design, a 2.5D glass covering the front panel, an improved camera sensor and last but not the least a new processor, the Snapdragon 625 which is much more power efficient than the previous generation.

The Redmi Note 4 comes in three variants, sporting 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and finally a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which was not available in the Redmi Note 3. The three variants are priced at just ₹ 9,999 ($150), ₹ 10,999 ($165) and ₹ 12,999 ($190) respectively.

This is not the first time Xiaomi has made such marks in the Indian market. Xiaomi has entered India for almost 3 years and is quickly becoming a dominant Smartphone brand in the country. The Chinese giant is also planning to launch their new flagship, the Mi 6 which has already squashed few AnTuTu benchmarks before its launch. Hope Xiaomi continues it reign and amazes its user with such great products. Keep following our blog for more such news.
